·In the infancy stage they show this skill by rolling over, crawling, pulling themselves up and kicking their legs back and forth which are signs of control of their balance and coordination.
·For their fine motor skills they are learning finger plays and using their hand to grasp or turn objects.
Motor: (Toddlerhood)
·In the toddlerhood stage, they show more movement such as jumping, running, tumbling on mats, riding scooters.
·At this age they work toward being more independent and wanting to do things on their own.
Also with their more fine motor skills they are able to sort blocks and other object by dimension by size and color. Cognitive Milestones
Infancy:
·They learn to respond to people and objects by their reaction of smiling, reaching out or even crying.
·Using eye contact with individuals helps to establish relationships.
·The interaction of engagement builds security.
Toddlerhood:
·They have the ability explore and discover through hands on activities such as stacking or sorting with blocks, drawing with crayons and responding to people and objects by their reaction and asking questions.
·The start of problem solving such as completing puzzles up to 5 to 10 pieces is becoming a mastering task. Language Milestones
Infancy:
·Recognize familiar voices and respond by babbling or cooing
·Trying to mimic sound by forming the mouth in a way to make sound come out.
·Respond by hand gestures for wants.
·Crying to get a response for someone.
Toddlerhood:
·Using small sentence structures of 3 to 5 words.
·Learns sign language to express needs or wants.
·Responds to verbal commands as to understand what is being said.
·Has some familiar words such as mom, dad, bye, mine, “NO”, and shaking head for answering.
